Sand Sculpture 2 @ Søndervig, Denmark
Not very far from where I live you will find the small town called Søndervig. In the first two weeks of June every year, 27 of the world’s most creative sand sculptors will meet in Søndervig and this year the theme were “The mysteries of Egypt” seen through a kaleidoscope of today’s modern energy production. In around ten days the artists transform 3,000 tons of sand into aesthetic enjoyment in the form of numerous spectacular sculptures.
The sculpture in the picture is around 30 metre-long by seven metre-high.
